Quilt for Baby Simmons

My friend Mrs. Simmons is pregnant and her due date came and went yesterday, so right now I am in a state of on-edgeness. At any moment I could receive a text – that the time has come and Mrs. Simmons is on her way to the hospital, entourage in tow. International Quilt Market Spring 2009: Blog Round-Up

Quilt Market Spring 2009 has been on my radar for the past year through my job at C&T Publishing. My Quilt Market to-do list started quite small, but gradually gained momentum as the weeks and months went by. About a month ago, it was hard to find anything on my comprehensive to-do list that wasn’t Quilt Market related. Actually that’s a lie. My First Completed Quilt

I have to toot the horns of Alex Anderson and Liz Aneloski. If it wasn’t for the straight-forward no-nonsense approach found in Super Simple Quilts #1, I may have never made my first quilt. Now that the quilt is finished, it will soon be delivered to its new owner, who is a 1-month old very important delivery herself.

It took me three years to approach quilting because I didn’t think I had the discipline or perfectionism to get a project done properly or without losing interest along the way. I am the queen of quick, easy projects – in the past my crafts had to accommodate my short attention span and desire for somewhat instant gratification.
